Meet the 6 runners!

Meet the 6 runners participating in the New York Marathon on November 1st, 2015. Would you like to be a sponsor as well? Visit our special fundraising page !

Carrie Molloy from the USA.

Hi! I am Carrie, 34 years old. I typically run 10Ks at an 8:30min/mile pace (I came in 4th out of 27 runners in race last week!). I have only done one half marathon about 1.5 years ago and finished in 2:02. I'm hoping to run a couple more races before the New York marathon and I'm hoping to finish in about 4hrs!

Jason Bergancia from the USA.

I'm Jason and super excited to be running the iconic NYC marathon. It's a special one for me, first, because I was born and raised in Queens, NY and secondly, because I will be running on behalf of a charity and cause that is near and dear to my heart. I'm a speech-language pathologist, and have always had an interest in helping children and adults born with cleft lip and/or palates regain the basic fundamentals of life....the ability to eat, drink and communicate. In 2011, I proudly ran and completed the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon in 4h10 min. Not too shabby for my first marathon!

The last mentionable distance run I did in New Zealand was a half marathon in April 2014, and I completed it in 1:40min.

I will happily accept any time under 4 hours in NY.

Crystal Seitz from the USA.

Hi! My name is Crystal Seitz and I'm 31 years old. I'm from Chicago, Illinois. I've completed about 25 half marathons and 3 full marathons. My last half Marathon was July 19th in Chicago and I finished in 1:48. My goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon this year in New York.

Douglas Molina from Guatemala.

Hola, My name is Douglas Molina and I'm 39 years old. I'm from Antigua, Guatemala. I've completed about 60 half marathons and have completed one marathon. My last half marathon was July 19th in Chicago and I finished in 1:13, second place in my age group. I am also a triathlete and a running coach.

Lydian Degen from The Netherlands.

Hi my name is Lydian Degen and I´m 25 years old. I´m from Homoet, a very small village in the Netherlands. About 2 years ago I started running in order to raise money for TESS Unlimited. At that time I ran a 15k! In the meantime I ran two half marathons and my last half marathon I finished in 2:03! I was running together with Wilson Kipsang ;). I´m hoping to run 1 half marathon and participate in 3 triathlons this year before New York. In August I start my training for New York, but I´m running now on a weekly base about 20k

Tessa de Goede de Ordoñez from the Netherlands but living in Guatemala.

Hi my name is Tessa and I´m 32 years old. I´m the founder of TESS Unlimited and this will be my first time for me running a marathon. I've completed two half marathons in 2013. My last half Marathon was in August 2013 in Guatemala and I finished in 2:05. This year I will run at least 1 more half marathon. I´m very happy that we will participate and raise money for all the children in Guatemala born with a cleft lip/palate. I'm hoping to finish in about 5hrs!
